CARE & MAINTENANCE FOR MOSS MOUNDS & IVY TOPIARIES

MOSS MOUND CARE

Moss Harvesting: Moss is harvested from its natural habitat, and we treat it to maintain its green color. Remember that indoor moss mounds do not grow over time, so caring for the existing moss is essential.

Sunlight Exposure: Moss mounds do not need direct sunlight. They will remain green for years or beautiful if left out of sunlight.

Watering: Mist the moss as needed to stay lush. To keep your moss looking fresh, spritz it with water. Use a fine mist setting on a spray bottle to evenly moisten the moss without soaking it.

Re-Fluffing: If your moss mound is compressed during shipping, gently fluff dampened moss with your fingers. This will help it regain its original mounded appearance.

IVY TOPIARY CARE

Maintenance: Upon arrival, saturate the topiary all over until it is completely hydrated. It should be “heavy” with water.

Light Requirements: Ivy topiaries should be considered shade plants. Do not place it in direct sunlight.

Water and Fertilize: The topiary has little soil. It’s important to water frequently. Here’s our favorite tip: if your topiary feels light, it is time to water it. It’s a good idea to fertilize it every time you water lightly. Please use an all-purpose liquid fertilizer once a month.

Pruning and Shaping: You can use floral pins to position the growing vines or prune your ivy topiary to maintain its sculpted shape and encourage bushier growth. Use sharp, clean scissors or pruning shears to trim unruly or overgrown vines.
